Custom-fit earpieces for communication or hearing protection provide consistent fit. Wearers can take advantage of custom-fit earpieces for a variety of applications, whether it's swimming, listening to music, shooting, or motor sports. Tests conducted propose that participants who wear custom-fit hearing protection experience a greater consistency of fit and reduction than those using generic products.

Westone’s No. 39 is recommended for wearers who participate in hunting and shooting. Designed for hunting and other high-level impact noise environments, this full shell earpiece features a valve that immediately closes once a certain noise level is reached. This allows hunters to hear clearly until the weapon is fired and still have full hearing protection from the gunfire.

No. 39 is available in four different type of vinyl (Formula II, Formula II Clear, Superflex and Rx). There is a vast array of colors to choose from. Formula II standard colors include light tan, light brown, medium brown and dark brown. There are also vinyl marble Formula II earpieces available in a variety of colors, such as blue, pink, yellow, orange, purple, green, red, and black. Formula II earpieces also come in neon colors of yellow, pink, orange, and green. Formula II Clear ear pieces are available in clear and brown, as well as other optional colors, including, but not limited to, yellow, pink, hot pink, red, orange, and blue. Rx colors are available in medium tan, light brown, medium brown, and dark brown. The Superflex is available in pink tint.
