Siemens NITRO

The Siemens NITRO is a custom hearing device for individuals with severe to profound hearing losses, which is even available in a completely-in-the canal (CIC) device. The NITRO is capable of delivering powerful sound in a tiny package. In the past, consumers with moderate to severe hearing loss couldn’t use custom hearing devices, particularly CICs. They lacked the power required to amplify sound sufficiently because of their small size and positioning within the ear canal itself. Through improved feedback cancellation technology, unwanted feedback is reduced or eliminated. Thanks to NITRO CIC, more people can enjoy the desirable cosmetic advantages of CICs.

• Feedback Cancellation: provides a more pleasant listening environment by eliminating or reducing feedback sounds (whistling).

• Stationary noise reduction: makes listening effortless by reducing steady-state noises such as cars, wind, and fans.

• Sound-Smoothing: attacks transient sounds such as dishes and papers rattling, the types of sounds for which compression and traditional noise reduction are not effective.

• Microphone noise reduction: reduces low-level background noise in quiet environments.

• Optional push button: allows the user to access multiple programs for optimum hearing in a variety of situations.
