Oticon Streamer

Oticon’s Epoq Streamer is a Bluetooth device that is an accessory to the Oticon Epoq hearing aids. It acts as an opening between Epoq hearing aids and other electronic devices like Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones or external audio sources. The audio signal is picked up by the Streamer, and streamed directly into the Epoq hearing aids. In addition to enjoying hands-free connection to mobile phones, users will also be able to connect to PCs, mp3 players and car navigation systems.

The Streamer uses the digital EarStream technology to transmit audio directly to the Epoq hearing aids. The result is a clear audio signal, free of noise due to digital streaming. When a set of Epoq instruments is connected to the Streamer, audio is transmitted directly to both instruments. The instruments are similar to a wireless headphone.

Audio streaming is controlled from the Streamer. The user interface has two main purposes – phone usage and audio entertainment. Both applications are activated by pressing one button. The Streamer can also function as a volume control in situations where it is not used for streaming external sound. The Streamer provides the user with clear visual and acoustic indicators on all operations.
